I Would Not Hold A Funeral For My Son Because He Might Return After The Funeral- Father Of Castro Reacts After He Was Declared Dead By The State
Castro was declared dead on 8th June 2021 after he had gone missing for seven years. In 2014, Castro went chilling with the Gyan brothers at Ada and he never came back.
He went Jet skiing and had an accident on the Ada Estuary with Janet Bandu. Their bodies were never recovered.
Per the laws of the land, after seven years, a person who had gone missing would be declared dead even if their bodies are never found.
In an interview with Takoradi-based radio, Skyy FM, his father has spoken about it.
He says he would not hold a funeral for his son but would accept what the state has said because he is a law-abiding citizen.
He says he would hold the funeral because Castro might come back after the funeral.
“We are a law-abiding family so we would not resist the nation’s declaration that he is dead but that would not pressure us to hold a funeral for him, what if he appears after the funeral.”?
